Found in Tasmania, New Zealand at elevations of 100 to 1000 meters in permanently wet forests in thick moss as a miniature sized, cold growing terrestrial with erect, pale green to yellowish, thin-textured, crin=kled margined, petiolate base leaves that blooms in the late spring and early summer on an erect, 2 to 6" [5 to 15 cm] long, fleshy, brittle, 1 to 4 flowered inflorescence carrying horizontal to nodding flowers
