Common Name or Meaning The Dotted Aerangis [refers to the roots]
Flower Size 4" [10 cm]
A mini-mini plant [less than 1 1/2" total] with up to 3 giant flowers [4"], grey green, flattened, verrucose roots and grayish green, spotted silver, elliptic or oblong leaves that are acutely bilobed apically, comes from Madagascar in the central highlands as well as Reunion on shrubs and trees in highland forests at elevations of 900 to 1500 meters and blooms in the spring and summer on a short inflorescence with a solitary large flower.
