Found in northwestern Madagascar at elevations of sea level to 200 meters on tamarindus trees as a small sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short to no stem carrying 5 to 6, ligulate, fleshy to leathery, thick leaves that blooms in the summer on a very slender, erect, simple to few branched single flowered inflorescence with short, distant sheaths
