Common Name Lady Lawrence's Aerides [wife of English Orchid Enthusiast 1800's]

This large to giant sized, warm to hot growing, monopodial epiphyte occurs in the Philippines at elevations up to 500 meters in bright light locations with an elongate stem carrying strap-shaped leaves and blooms on a 2' [60 cm] long, arching, densely many [30] flowered, racemose inflorescence that has heavy, waxy, fragrant, long-lasting flowers occuring in the fall and early winter.
