Flower Size 2.4 to 2.8" [6 to 7 cm]

Found in northern and central Madagascar in humid, mossy forests at elevations of 2000 to 2500 meters as a miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with a short stem, usually several stems together, enveloped completely by the leaf sheaths, grass-like, attenuate at both ends, canaliculate, sometimes falcate leaves that blooms in the later spring, summer and mid fall on several, peduncle thread-like, provided with 4 to 7 brown sheaths, covering the nodes at the base and shorter above, 1.2 to 2.4" [3 to 6 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
