Common Name The Aerides with 5 Wounds [Refers to the 5 crimson colored tips of the flower]

A Malaysian, and Philippine, large sizedd, hot growing monopodial epiphyte occuring at elevations of 300 to 2000 meters in bright light locations that has lorate, leathery leaves that are apically bilobed and blooms on a densley many flowered, 1 1/2' [45 cm] long, sharply pendulous inflorescence with fragrant, long-lasting, waxy flowers occuring in the summer and fall.
