Found in Java and Sulawesi at elevations of 1200 to 1400 meters in montane forests as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with a short stem carrying 5 to 8, stiff, strap shaped, almost equally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the spring and fall on an axillary, arching, [12 to 26 cm] long, 15 to 18 flowered inflorescence carrying the evenly spaced flowers that are all prsented on the underside of the inflorescence
