Found in Minas Gerais Brazil at elevations of 1000 to 1500 meterse as a small sized, cool to cold growing lithophyte with clustered, ovoid, slightly compressed pseudobulbs enveloped basally by several imbricationg, deciduous sheaths and carrying three apical, subcoriaceous, smooth, lanceolate, cymbidiform, obtuse leaves that blooms in the spring on a terminal, erect, racemose, 5.6" [14 cm] long, inflorescence with to 10,successively opening, non resupinate, fragrant flowers
