Anathallis longiglossa Chiron & N.Sanson 2010TYPE Drawing by Chiron & N. Sanson and The Epidendra Website

Common Name The Long Tongue Anathallis [refers to the long lip]

Flower Size .12" [3 mm]

Found in Espirito Santo state of Brazil as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with an erect ramicaul enveloped by 2 papery sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, acute, narrowing below into a pseudopetiolate base leaf that can bloom at most any time of the year on a fascile of erect, short, successively single, 3 to 4 flowered inflorescence.

This species would be better placed in Pleurothallis within my framework of the Orchidaceae but as yet it has not been described as such.
