Common Name Lecomte's Angraecum [refers to the flowers color]

Found in Madagascar in mossy forests at elevations around 1200 meters as a super miniature sized [2"] sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with acaulis, 3 to 6, archedc to erect, linear, unequally bilobed apically leaves that blooms in the summer on a single flowered, .2 to .5" [1 to 1.2 cm] inflorescence arising from below the leaves and completely enveloped by 3 obtuse compressed, dorsally enlarged sheaths and carrying the giant [for the plant size] flower with an 8" [20 cm] long spur.
