Found in East central Madagascar in shady forests at elevations of 900 to 1200 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a very short stem carrying 4 to 5, erect, cylindric, very narrow, acute leaves that blooms in the spring and summer on a below the leaves, single flowered inflorescence enveloped by 3 to 4 obtuse sheaths.
