Found in Madagascar on tree trunks in mossy, lichen rich forests at elevations around 1000 to 1200 meters as a miniature to just small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with a pendant, thin stem carrying towards the apex, 5 to 6, well spaced, thinly linear, narrow, subacute leaves that blooms in the summer on an axillary, very short, single flowered inflorescence holding the small, glabrous flower close to the leaf axils.
