Flower Size 1/2" [1.25 cm]

Found only in eastern Cape Province, South Africa in well drained soils at elevations of 90 to 550 meters as a fairly robust, to medium szied, cool to cold growing terrestrial in sandy or clayey, wet soils in open, short scrublands with lanceolate leaves that blooms on a rather stout, somewhat flexuous, densely many flowered, to 18" [45 cm] long inflorescence arising in the spring in situ.
