Found in Surinam, Fr Guiana, Guyana, Venezuela, Colombia Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Brazil as a small sized, warm to cool growing terretrial with an erect, leafy stem carrying ovate, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the conduplicate, petiolate base leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, 4" [10 cm] long, densely many flowered inflorescence with 2, lanceolate, acute bracts and the flowers held in an apical corymb.
