Common Name Single-flowered Barkeria
Flower Size 2 3/4" [5.6 cm]
This small epiphyte from southern Mexico is found on trees and shrubs along dry creekbeds and blooms on an apical, to 12" [30 cm] long, racemose several flowered inflorescence that occurs in the fall and winter in cultivations and late spring in nature. This is the type species for the genus.
