Found in Minas Gerais, Rio de Janiero and Sao Paulo states of Brazil in montane rainforests at elevations of 500 to 1000 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with conic-tetragon, slightly compressed pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, plicate, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate leaves that blooms in the fall on a basal, 4 to 5 cm] long, 1 to few flowered inflorescence with obovate-lanceolate, envolute, acuminate floral bracts.
