Common Name Lawrence's Bollea [Orchid Enthiusiast 1800's]
Flower Size 3 1/2 to 4" [8.75 to 10 cm]
Found in Ecuador and Colombia at 1500 meters as a cool growing epiphyte with 6 to 10, oblong-lanceolate, acuminate leaves arranged in a fan-shape that blooms in the summer on a shorter than the leaves, 8" [20 cm] long, ascending, sheathed stalk with a solitary, waxy, long-lived, fragrant flower.
