Found in Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zaire, Zambi and Zimbabwe as a miniature sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte in riverine forests and high rainfall woodlands usually on large branches at elevations of 550 to 1900 meters with sword-shaped, obtuse, very fleshy, dark green leaves held in a fan that blooms on a basal, 2" [5 cm] long, densly many flowered inflorescence.
