Found in southern Brazil at elevations of 800 to 1300 meters as a miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with a short stem enveloped completely by imbricating, scarious sheaths and carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic, acute, gradually anrrowing below into the conduplicate base leaf that blooms fall and winter on a 1" [2.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence witha bract near the middle..
