Found in Malaysia, Borneo and Vietnam in wet and mossy evergreen lowland montane forests on twigs and terminal branches in the upper canopy at elevations of 700 to 2500 meters as a mini-miniature, warm growing epiphyte or lithophyte with tiny, ovoid, somewhat flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, thick, elliptic, petiolate leaf and blooms in the spring summer and fall on a basal, 1 to 2" [[2.5 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with tubular floral bractsthat requires deep shade
