Found in New Guinea on trees in forests at elevations around 1000 meters as a miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with ovoid-conical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, oblanceolate-oblong, apiculate leaves that blooms in the winter on a very short, .1 to .18" [2 to 3.5 mm] long, single flowered inflorescence with apiculate bracts
