Found in northeastern Madagascar in humid evergreen forests at elevations around 700 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with dorsiventrally flattened, discoid pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, narrowly oblong leaf that blooms in the spring on a basal, 1 to 1.8" [2.5 to 4.5 cm] long, to 12 flowered inflorescence.
