Found in east northeastern Madagascar in humid highland and or lichen rich forests at elevations around 1400 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with ovoid-conical pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, erect leaf that blooms in the late spring on an arching to pendant, few flowered inflorescence
