Found in New Guinea, New Caledonia and Fiji in dense rain forests at elevations around 400 to 1000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with close set, pear-shaped pseudobulbs arrying a single, apical, elliptic leaves that blooms in the late spring through winter on an erect, single flowered inflorescence
