Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane forests on branches of shrubs and trees at elevations of 1300 to 1700 meters as a miniature to small sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with a creeping rhizome with 1.6 to 10" [4 to 25 cm] between each ellipsoid, somewhat flattened psudobulb carrying a single, apical, thick, medium green, elliptic, abruptly narrowing below into the short petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, [3 to 5.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with a tubular floral bract.
