Common Name Arfak Mountain Bulbophyllum
Flower Size 3/4" [2.2 cm]
Found in the Arfak Mountains of Papua & New Guinea as a unifoliate epiphyte at elevations of 50 to 400 meters in rainforests, farmland margins and river valleys on tree branches that has an ascending growth habit, pseudobulbs that are 1" [2.5 cm] apart on the rhizome and blooms in the late winter and spring as well as late summer and fall on a to 5 1/2" [to 14 cm] long, stout inflorescence with triangular bracts and with a solitary flower held well above the leaves.
