Found in New Guinea in forests on trees at elevations around 300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot growing epiphyte with a short rhizome giving rise to ovoid-conic pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, erect, glabrous, ligulate, apiculate to shortly excise, attenuate below into the base leaf that blooms in the early fall on a basal, short, erect, single flowered inflorescence with an ovate, apiculate floral bract
