An epiphyte from Papua and New Guinea on tree trunks with little or no moss in montane forests around 1200 meters in elevation as a medium sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with distant, ovoid psuedobulbs carrying a single apical, erect, ligulate, obtuse, narrowly petiolate leaf that has a basal, erect, to 20" [50 cm] long, densly many flowered, racemose inflorescence.
