Common Name The Keeled Bulbophyllum

Flower Size 2" [5 cm]

Found in Java as a medium sized, hot growing epiphyte on tree trunks or scrambling terrestrial from very wet areas that has large, oblong pseudobulbs and a single, apical, narrowing below into the v-channeled petiole of the leaf that blooms in the spring on a 4" [20 cm] long inflorescence with several [12], large, showy, malodorous flowers held in an umbel. I have this speies in 2 places here as B pahudii and according to Garay and Lindleyana Vol.17 #1/2002 the correct name should be B carinatum [C carinatum 1853] as it was named before C pahudii 1854, as this is the only reference for this name I await a new revision of Bulbophyllum to make the correct choice.
