Common Name The Decorated Heart Bulbophyllum [refers to the decorated [rim of fine hairs] heart-shaped labellum]
Flower Size 1 1/4" [3 cm]
Found in Papua New Guinea at elevations of 3000 meters as a unifoliate, cool to cold growing epiphyte that blooms on a 2" [5 cm] long inflorescence with a single flower held at or just above leaf height. This species does best clay potted with some chopped moss added for retaining water.
Said to be synomonous with Bulbophyllum discolor but I have left separate pending more inforamation.
