Found in India, Thailand, Burma and Vietnam? at elevations of 1850 to 2000 meters as a small sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with terete, pseudsobulbs carrying two apical, papery deciduous leaves that fall just before blooming which is in the winter on a thick, 10" [25 cm] long, pendant to erect, densely many flowered, cylindrically racemose inflorescence with dangling, hirsute, fragrant [cinnamon] flowers.
