Found in Borneo, Java and the Philippines in hill and lower montane forests at elevations of 900 to 1700 meters and higher as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with pseudobulbs enveloped in long stiff bristles and carry a single apical, thick leaf and flowers in the summer in Borneo on a basal, 1 1/4 to 2 3/4" [3 to 7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence.
