Common Name The Blood-Red Bulbophyllum
An epiphytic species with 6", globose pseudobulbs and a single apical elliptic to oblong elliptic leaf that is found in Papua New Guinea and Irian Jaya and has a very short, single flowered inflorescence that holds the flower against the base of the pseudobulb. Needs to be potted in an open medium, given warm to cool temperatures, dappled shade and good air circulation.
