Found in New Guinea and the Solomon Islands as a hot growing epiphyte requiring light shade, high humidity and good air circulation and has angled pseudobulbs 2" apart on the rhizome carrying thick leaves which blooms on a basal, 5 1/2" [13.5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence and are held below the leaves.
