Common Name The Toothed Bulbophyllum

Flower Size 1/2" [1.2 cm]

A small sized, hot to warm growing, unifoliate, epiphytic species found in Thailand, Malaysia and Java, that can best be grown in semishade, on treefern, pots or baskets with regular watering and fertilizer year-round. The orchid has a woody rhizome with the conic, 4 angled, bright green pseudobulbs spaced apart by at least 3 1/4" to 5 1/2" [8 to 14 cm] and carries a single, apical, erect, fleshy, narrowly ovate, blunt-ended leaf that narrows below into a distinct 1" [2.5 cm] long, petiole and blooms on a 3 1/4" to 8" [8 to 20 cm] long, several flowered inflorescence with the flowers held in an umbel at the apex of the scape, all held above the leaves and occuring in the fall and winter.
