Found in Sabah Borneo in lower montane forests in shrubby vegetation at elevations around 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with an ovoid pseudobulb carrying a single apical, erect, oblong, obtuse, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms on an erect, .8" [2 cm] long, successively several flowered inflorescence with several bracts.
