Common Name The Tall Bulbophyllum - In China Gao Jing Juan Ban Lan

Found in southern Xizang and northwestyern Yunnan provinces of China, Assam India, eastern Himalayas, Nepal, Bhutan, Sikkim and Vietnam in broad-leafed forests at elevations around 1600 to 2500 meters as a small medium sized, cool to warm growing epiphyte with .4" [1 cm] betweeen each conical-cylindric, tapering towards the apex pseudobulbs and carrying a single, apical, oblong to narrowly-oblong, emarginate apically, gradually narrowing below into the channeled petiolate base leaf that blooms in the summer and fall on a basal, decurved, umbellate, densely many flowered, slender, 7.2 to 12.8" [18 to 32 cm] long inflorescence with 3 distant, lanceolate, tubular basally sheaths and narrowly lanceolate, acute to subacuminate floral bracts.
