Found in Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo and Sumatra in mixed, montane, mossy fprests at elevations of 900 to 2500 meters as a small to just medium sized, hot to cool growing epiphtye or terrestrial in moss cushionswith globose pseudobulbs carrying lanceolate-oblong, obtuse, tough, narrowing below into the elongate channeled petiolate base leaves that blooms in the spring through fall on a straight, many flowered, distant, 12" [30 cm] long, glabrous inflorescence with the often fragrantflowers facing in all directions
