Found in the Eastern Himalayas, Assam, Bhutan, Sikkim, Myanamar and Thailand at elevations of 600 to 2000 meters as a miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte in evergreen forests and lithophyte on the rocks below with 5" between each ellipsoid, smooth pseudobulbs carrying a sinlge apical, lanceolate acute leaf that blooms in the winter on a 5 to 6 " [12.5 cm to 15 cm] long, several to many flowered inflorescence with unpleasingly scented flowers that are evenly spaced from near the base of the inflorescence to the apex.
