Found only in Sarawak Borneo at elevations around 160 meters as a miniature sized, hot growing low level epiphyte with distant, cylindrical pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, elliptic, acute to acuminate, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the later spring on a patent, short, 3.8" to 4.4" [9.5 to 11 cm] long, 15 to 17 flowered inflorescence carrying non-resupinate, wide open, mostly simultaneously opening flowers
This orchid is related to B refractilingue but is distinct in the longer rachis 1.55" to 1.66" [3.4 to 4.8 cm] long, the longer lateral sepals and longer petals.
