Found in Sikkim and the eastern Himalayas at elevations around 900 to 1500 meters as a small sized, warm growing epiphyte with 1.5" [4 cm] between each cylindric pseudobulb and carrying a single, apical, narrowly oblong, blunt and slightly notched apically, slightly narrowed into the sessile to sub sessile base leaf that blooms in the summer arising from the rhizome near the pseudobulb base, sometimes longer and sometimes shorter than the pseudobulb, 1 to 1.5" [2.5 to 3.7 cm] long, erect, slender, umbellate, 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with lanceolate, acuminate as long as the ovary floral bract
