Found in Sabah Borneo in high montane forests often on small branches near the forest floor at elevations of 1600 to 2300 meters as a mini-miniature sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with 1/4 to 1/2" [7mm to 1.25 cm] between each, ovoid hardly flattened, green stained purple pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, elliptic, red stained beneath, acute, gradually narrowing below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring through early fall on a horizontal, single flowered inflorescence.
