Found in Vietnam and Thailand in primary montane forests at elevations around 1300 to 2600 meters as a hot to cool growing epiphyte with conical pseudobulbs enveloped basally by a papery sheath and carrying a single, apical, linear, shortly conduplicate towards the base leaf that blooms in the fall on a basal, erect, 11' [12.5 cm] long, inflorescecnce with close tubular bracts and a few apical flowers.
