Common Name MacPherson's Bulbophyllum - The Small Eyelash Orchid

Flower Size 3/8" to 1" [1 to 1.5 cm]

Found in Queensland, Australia at elevations of 450 to 1400 meters as a miniature sized, clumping, unifoliate epiphyte found predominately on trees but occasionally on rocks mostly in rainforests, with very crowded, inconspicuous pseudobulbs carrying a single, reclining to erect, green to reddish, fleshy, channeled leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a 3/4 to 2" [2 to 5 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with an inverted flower that is best grown on a cork or tree fern mount in a cold humid environment with moderate light and water levels, fertilizing regularly.
