Found in southern Yunnan province of China in open forests on trees at elevations around 800 meters as a mini-miniature sized, warm growing epiphyte with a creeping, slendre rhizome with .4" [1 cm] between each ovoid, basae more or less prostrate on the rhizome pseudobulbs carrying a single apical, ovate, leathery, mucronate apically, contracted below into the twisted petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter to early spring on a basal or from the nodes on the rhizome, erect, filiform, short, single flowered inflorescence with a single basal sheath and cupular, membraneous floral bracts
