Found in the eastern Himalayas, Bhutan, Myanamar, Thailand, southern China and Vietnam in primary montane forests at elevations of 1000 to 2500 meters as a miniature sized, warm to cool growing epiphyte with 1.8" [4.5 cm] between each, cylindric, erct to curved, weakly rugose, narrow, tapering towards the apex pseudobulbs enveloepd basally byfibrous sheaths and carrying a single, apical, oblong, subacute, coriaceous, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the fall and winter on a basal, pendant, .4" [1 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence
