Common Name The Obtuse Petal Bulbophyllum

Flower Size

Found in penninsular Malaysia, Java, Sumatra and Borneo in tall forests at elevations around 1300 to 1500 meters as a small sized, cool growing epiphyte with minute, discoid, not laterally flattened pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic to obovate, obtuse to acute, petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late winter and early spring on an erect to patent, elongated, 6.4 to 10.8” [16 to 27 cm] long, rather dense, 40 to 50 flowered inflorescence.

CAUTION I am not convinced that the flower photos are correct so please use with caution. The Type drawing is absolutely correct.
