Found in New Guinea on tall trees in forests at aelevations around 1000 to 1200 meters as a medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with ovoid, grey-green pseudobulbs carrying a single, apical, erect, elliptic-ligulate, subacute leaf that narrows gradually into a short attenuate petiole that blooms in the winter on an erect, laxly 3 to 7, successively flowered, 18" [45 cm] long inflorescence with elliptic bracts.
