Blooms on a basal, 2 3/4" [7 cm] long, single flowered inflorescence with wide cupped sheaths occuring in the summer in Taiwan at elevations of 1500 to 2500 meters and is a miniature sized, warm to cool growing, unifoliate epiphyte that requires semi-shade and has close set, ovoid pseudobulbs and a single apical, elongate oblong, obtuse to acute, contracted into the shortly petiolate base leaf.
Cited as a synonym of Bulbophyllum pectinatum, visually they are very similar.
