Found in Hainan, Taiwan, Vietnam, Sulawesi and Luzon Philippines in dense forests on tree trunks at elevations of 300 to 1500 meters as a mini-miniature sized, hot to cool growing epiphyte with a very short, nearly invisible rhizome that has no pseudobulb but has 3 to 5, in clusters, nearly secund to the rhizome, subsessile, elliptic to oblong, obtuse and retuse apically leaf that blooms in the later spring through early fall on several, erect, slender, .6 to 3/4" [1.5 to 2.2 cm] long, often 2 flowered inflorescence with 2 minute sheaths and ovate-lanceolate floral bracts.
